Paleokastritsa
Západokorfské městečko, jehož písek omývá křišťálově čisté moře je jedním z nejvyhledávanějších cílů turistů. V hlavní sezóně zde bývá poněkud přelidněno, lepší je vyjet si sem ještě před letními prázdninami. Samotné letovisko Paleokastritsa by možná nebylo nijak zajímavé, kdyby se tu před dávnými léty nezjevila Panna Marie, i když, podle Řeků se tato dáma zjevila úplně všude, kde nyní stojí byť jen malá kaplička. Zde, na kopci, porostlém olivovníky, postavili na její počest trochu větší kostel a spolu s prohlídkou zahrady nabízí skutečně nezapomenutelný pohled do kraje. Turisté sem jezdí místními autobusy, ale nejkrásnější je sednout na loď nebo jen uplatit nějakého rybáře a dopravit se sem po vlnách. Uvidíte překrásné scenérie z dílny Matky přírody.

Sidari
Stačili jste se už v Paleokastritse zamilovat? Že ne? Pak vzhůru do Sidari, zde mají totiž recept na lásku. Místní Canal D´Amour je prý místem všech milenců. Kdo se zde se svou láskou vykoupe, zůstane s ní navždy. Pověst je pověst a určitě na tom kapka pravdy bude. Lidé v Sidari se usmívají a všude panuje skvělá nálada. Na večer v Sidari doporučuji navštívit některý z barů, taveren nebo restaurací. V Sidari to žije ve dne v noci. Přijeďte se podívat a objevte druhou stranu řecké mince.

Kérkyra
Pulzující tepna Korfu je příkladem přeneseného rčení,(všechny cesty vedou do Říma) že všechny cesty vedou do Kérkyry. Jako by nějaký popletený malíř vytrhl ta romantická zákoutí z benátských čtvrtí a rychle je dosadil jako dílek skládačky na Korfu. Tak se tu žije. Romanticky, hlučně, řecky. Městu vévodí kostel patrona ostrova Sv. Spyridona, který prý ještě za svého života stál u různých zázraků a později byl prohlášen za svatého, dále Byzantská nová a stará pevnost, (kam se držitelé ISIC karty dostanou zdarma) muzeum umění a konečně nový a starý přístav. Nedokážu říci, zda je Kérkyra krásnější ve dne či v noci. Ve dne se probouzí jako kotě a v noci je tygřicí, která svádí všechny vášnivé cestovatele a romantiky do svých drápků. Budete – li letos na Korfu, nezapomeňte na Kérkyru a věnujte jí chvíli své dovolené. Odmění se Vám nezapomenutelnými zážitky.

Klášter Vlacherna
Vypadá jako by vystupoval z moře a střežil východokorfské pobřeží. Jako dáma v šachovnici stojí mezi stále zeleným ostrovem Korfu a Albánií a nabízí velkolepou podívanou do dáli. Ke klášteru vede dlouhé molo, u něhož denně kotví spousta člunů a rybářských bárek. Jste romantická duše a nebojíte se mít v oddacím listě jiné, než české státní razítko?
