RUSÍNI, POPOVÉ A POP-ART
Jsme na severovýchodním Slovensku. Většina obyvatel Mikové jsou Rusíni. Rusíni žili na tomto území odnepaměti. Jejich jazyk, kultura a zvyky nejsou ani slovenské, ani ruské, dokonce ani ukrajinské. Rusíni jsou národem, který nemá vlast. Kromě Polska, Ukrajiny, Rumunska, Maďarska, Kanady a dalších států žijí také na severovýchodním Slovensku. Bývají přirovnáváni ke Kurdům, ale zatím jde o nejposlušnější národnostní menšinu v mladém slovenském státě. Po totalitních letech, kdy byli násilím spojováni s Ukrajinci, si začínají uvědomovat sami sebe. Dnes začíná rusínský národ opět existovat - Rusínů je nyní na Slovensku okolo 17 000, přesto rusínštinu jako svůj mateřský jazyk uvádí takřka 50 000 obyvatel. Vycházejí rusínsky psané knihy, učebnice a periodický tisk.
